A Community Designed for Moms

Welcome to My Village — a membership-based club made just for moms. It’s where connection meets care, and self-growth becomes part of your everyday life. This isn’t just another playgroup. It’s a space to recharge, to be real, to grow — and to do it all alongside a community of women who truly understand.

Why My Village Exists?

My Village came together naturally in 2023 when a group of moms who met through Better Beginnings childbirth class said - we want more. More time together, more opportunities to learn and grow, more community.

Motherhood is one of life’s greatest joys — and one of its biggest challenges. Between learning to care for your baby, the changes in your relationships, and finding yourself as a mother , it’s easy to feel unsteady. My Village was born from the belief that moms need more than fleeting conversations on the sidelines of the playground. You deserve space to breathe, talk honestly, and build real friendships.

Here, self-care isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. As a group, we honor those moments when you want to laugh, cry, or simply sit quietly. We believe that nurturing yourself is essential for nurturing your family.

How it works?

  • Monthly Membership
    Start as a “Provisional Member” for the first month, so see if My Village is a good fit for you. If you decide to join, the monthly fee is $20, and includes access to all My Village events, community conversations, and group resources.

  • Local Hubs
    We have active groups in Long Beach and Ocean Springs. You choose whichever location works best for you.

  • Meaningful, Flexible Events
    Some gatherings are kid-friendly — playgroup walks or casual coffee meetups. Others are just for moms, like Mom Nights Out, deep-dive conversations, or occasional self-care workshops. No pressure to attend everything.

  • Community App
    We use the BAND app to keep our community organized — RSVP for events, chat with other members, share resources, and stay in the loop.

  • Pause or Cancel Anytime
    We designed My Village to be a source of support, not stress. You’re free to pause your membership or cancel at any time, no penalty, no guilt.

FAQ

Do I have to attend every event?
Nope! You can pick and choose which events to attend — whether it’s a casual mom walk or a deep conversational night.

Who can join? All mothers are welcome, with children of any age. Working moms, stay at home moms, single moms, married moms, introvert moms and extrovert moms. We want to get to know all of you.

Do I need to bring my kids to every event?
Not at all. Some events are kid-friendly, while others are exclusively for moms. Our main focus is moms, but we often have our kiddos with us.

Why is there a membership fee? The fee covers our operating costs and allows us to a provide a small ‘thank-you’ stipend to our group coordinators who organize events and keep everything flowing. We keep the cost low on purpose, but not free — we’ve found that a small investment helps people participate consistently and gives the group stability. If the cost is the only thing holding you back from joining, we are open to discussing a trade or discount.

What if I want to stop or take a break?
You can pause or cancel your membership at any time. We don’t penalize you for taking space. And we won’t be offended if you decide it’s not a good fit for you.

Which group should I join? A big part of making friends is having time to be together with people. While we don’t have set boundaries, we do organize two groups, Ocean Springs and Long Beach - we encourage you to join the group closest to where you are likely to spend your social time.

Is this group religious?
No. My Village is secular and inclusive. While spirituality or faith may come up for some, our community is not focused around any particular religion.

How do we stay connected?
We use the BAND app to organize, chat, and plan. Once you join, you’ll receive an invitation to our group.
